Title: Is fall fishing finally here??
Post by: djkimmel on September 25, 2016, 01:05:27 PM
I think fall fishing has finally arrived. What about you? I may be heading out fishing Tuesday somewhere and Thursday on Union Lake - a rematch between me and the Stevie Rig maybe?!?

What are you doing for your fall fishing, and where?

Hit Orion today
Only caught 4 and one was a dink
In my best spot nothing, on the other side of the lake they were deep in the weeds
Probable could have caught a few more, But It's a dead sticking senko bite over there
Saw allot of fish still on docks, and they were not hungry

So I think our best fall bite is still a couple weeks away
I need to hit Erie next week

I think we are a week or two away from the prime fall fishing. I had 20 fish on Union today. Best five went 12.56.

3 weeks for fall fishing... Erie sucked today... Caught a dozen small smallies. Water is still over 70*

The blade bait bite is gonna come on strong as the water cools.

We fished Cass today.  The minnow bite is starting out there.   Caught quite a few small keepers and ended up with 8 pounds for 5.   Water is still 71 degrees.    Thursday should be great out here on Union.  Might be a Stevie Rig Fest.

fished last weekend and the fish we caught needed to be tempted out of the deep and was slow.  Hoping in picks up soon.

Yesterday felt like fall. Of course, the wind was blowing 15 to 20+ and that had a little to do with it!

St Clair! Two 28lb limits were weighed in last Saturday in the CFB tournament. One was anchored by a 7lb 14oz tank! Several 6lb fish were weighed in.

All you need now is sunshine.   Mr K was over Monday.  We fished in the morning and  caught large mouth.  Finally caught 1 smallmouth.  About 1:00 the sun came out.  We started catching small mouth all the way up  to 1 foot of water.  We ran one drop off that we hit earlier and there were fish everywhere.  We caught a few but I think they needed a little more sun to get them active.   Water is 64 degrees.

Fall fishing is  on get out there.

I agree now! They were starting to roam on Maceday Lake too on Tuesday. They just weren't hitting real well or not at all.
