I want to start by saying thank you to everyone in the fishing community for your prayers and support through the surgery my son had endured a few short weeks ago. The tumor was removed and he was up and walking around at home in 3 days! Modern technology at its finest hour.
I spoke with my son, Frank, this Friday and after two weeks of waiting for the results of the biopsy on the removed tumor, it is not what we wanted to hear. Frank was notified that the tumor is cancer.... Frank will start his treatments after some counseling this upcoming week. This son of mine is a Man amongst Men! He is as upbeat as you can be! 28 years old and just had a baby 5 months ago... HE IS lucky to have a great family that surrounds him down in Sarasota and back up here in Chicago! I AM LUCKY to have such great friends throughout the fishing community. The bass fishermen (and ladies) never cease to amaze me with their support for each other when something like this occurs within our family. Rudy

All my best for you and your son!
Hope things work out
Rudy,
I hope everythings works out for you and your family. I would like to send prayers and good luck from my family to yours. My father had a brain tumor in 1998. He was 78 years old. They don't operate on a man his age. The operation would have killed him if not the tumor. He had what they call Glyo Blastoma. They don't know what causes that type of brain tumor. It knows no age or person. Anyone can get it. The doctors at U of M medical center said that he could have gotten it through the early days of radar as he was a navigation officer in the Navy during WWII. That was before they had screens that had filters for radio waves. Energy safe screens like the one on your computer.
I hope everything is going well for you guys and hope to see you both on the water this spring.
Best Regards,
BD ;D
Rudy:
you and your family are in our thoughts and prayes. Crappy things can happen to good people it knows no bounds. That fight within him sounds strong and will aid in his complete recovery.

BD,
Thank you. My son has the same as your Father and we found out last week that this type of tumor is the most aggressive type... The Neurosurgeon has stated we have a 3% chance of survival. So send the prayers guys this is gonna be a tough year. But we will beat this. Rudy
We will quadruple our efforts Rudy.
