Title: SEARCH FOR A NEW BOAT
Post by: blakstr1 on January 16, 2008, 07:58:39 AM
Well, I am on the hunt for a new used bass boat.  In the past week I've missed on 2 boats I was strongly considering.  Where does everyone typically look on-line for listings?  I could use some new options.  Currently I scour BBC, Bassfishinghomepage, Probass.net, iboats.com, and auto-rv.com... any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Blake,
I don't know if you're interested in a Nitro, but I have a buddy who is selling a 2003 929 with 225 Opti-max for 23,000 O.B.O.
It is in imaculant condition.
Very low hours, he had to quit fishing a couple of years ago due to a serious car accident.

you wouldn't happen to be talking about KVD's buddy that had the bad accident leaving him in a wheelchair a few years back, are you?  If so, does that mean this is KVD's old boat?  Maybe check Fastbass.com also.

1Javlin,
No, not that guy. This guy made it out lucky (I guess) he's still able to walk and returned to work after close to a year of rehibilitation.
He stuffered some head trauma and the headaches keep him from being on the water and concentrating for 8 hours.
I don't know how many times I seen him come out to fish a TX with us, only to find that he had to leave early.
He goes to U of M every few months where they give him some shots to deaden the nerves in his head so that he can function and get up to play with his kids.
They're all very unfortune, we should consider ourselves lucky.

Talk to Pat Kleppert the local ranger rep - they always have deals on staff and pro boats a year or two old.

I see an ad at the top of the page for seized boats.  That could be interesting.  Maybe get some cigarette boat confiscated in a drug raid!!  Put a 80 inch trolling motor on and your all set.

Probably not helping, am I?

My Legend is a 2005 with a 2005 Evinrude 175 Direct Injection, with a m76#Minn-Kota and Garmin Electronics w/GPS.  It has super low hours.

I'd be interested in selling Josh's 2003 Triton with 225 Opti on it that he let me use for a season.  He also let me finance it through the bank as some sort of gesture of good will.
