We are in the final stages of putting together the Ultimate Football Jig. The will be available in 1/4oz, 3/8oz and 1/2 oz sizes. We are incorporating the same hook we use in our Poison Tail Jig, the Mustad Needle Point Ultra-Bite, and a Fiber Weed Guard. Look for them to be available in March, 2008!!!
Will they be available without the weed guard???? I know on Erie you really don't need a weed guard as there is not as many weeds as there are on St. Clair.

They will have a weed guard but it can be easily cut off. ;)
Well now that I won at football jig in the contest, I can try it with and without the weed guard this spring. I will try it with the weed guard first and then cut it off and see if I can up the hook up ratio.

Here is a sample of what they will look like.

Sweet looking jig! Just do what I do with all my jigs and that is to just trim the weed guard back even with the hook point at an angle. It helps increase your hookups plus it helps it to roll over rocks and wood better by stiffening the guard a bit. Also trim the skirt up to just below the hook and it won't hinder the action of the trailer. Just something to try.
Hey Karl, I received my free football jig yesterday in the mail. Thank you very much. It is a sweet looking jig. Also, thanks for sending me the best color......... ;).

Make sure and check out the new contest this week for the Vibra-Series Sampler Kit under the Contests board below.
A week or so ago on my daily blog on my teardropbass.com website I posted a link from Bass Fan which talked about the new Berkley products. They have a Bass Trix type hollow tube swim baits. They look just like the Bass Trix. Here's the link http://www.bassfan.com/news_article.asp?id=2686
Karl, I got the jig in the mail today. Nice looking bait! Thanks again! I hope I can get two or three casts with it before I snag it on a stump or sheer it off on some zebra mussels...lol...

Oh yeah! Forgot about the toothie critters! LOL
The football jigs look great guys im not a huge fan of football heads but they have certain situations where they excel. Got another question though was looking through your site at the poison tail heads, do you only pour them with the wire weed guard? I pour these same jigs with the fibergaurds and love them. The poison tail head is a great early season jig. I saw that your finesse jigs are poured in the poison w fibergaurd but only in 1/4oz. thanks again for the great support here and keep up on the fine product.-skeeterman-
The 1/4 oz PT jigs are with the twin twisted SS guards, you are looking at the finesse footballs pics :) We chose the SS weedguards for 2 main reasons. 1, they slip through the grass and slop with ease and 2, the hook up ratio is unbeatable. The only real con to the SS guard is when fishing brush that has a lot of small twigs but the pros outway the cons as far as we are concerned ;) Thanks
Karl
Karl,
When will the Vibra-Series Sampler Kits be available on your web site?
Dan
They were a Christmas Promo item Dan but if I get enough requests for them I'll put them back up ;) So far no one has asked for them, for some reason they sell really well as a Christmas gift only ???
If I win DJK's contest and get the free kit that he is giving away, I will brag about it and then you will have to put them back up, Karl. Especially since that will be what I catch my fish on everytime I go out.
All Baits work as long as they're Vibra Series by KaRu Lures!!!
After that you guys will be rolling in "dozer $$$$". We can talk about my fee later. ;)

That statement reminds me of an unnamed Pro I fished behind in an Everstart Tournament at Lake Champlain. After fishing with a 5" Senko for 3 days and putting enough fish in the boat for the win he got up on stage and credited his Berkley Power Worms for the win. I was confused LOL ;D

I've seen this happen more than a few times. It's kind of funny to me. I've seen the exact same situtation with senkos, but it was berkley gulp instead of power worms. On the other side there are people who get mad when you don't tell them what you were doing. It's funny how many new freinds you make once you weigh-in a good limit. I take everything I read about tournament results with a grain of salt, especially if the winning lure is part of a contigency program.

I just knew you'd like it.

I always tell the truth... anglers never believe anything another angler says anyway... and it's easier just to tell the truth ;D
Karl, I know what you mean about Christmas and kits. It is a very nice kit that any angler would be lucky to have. Contest is still going. PLUS, I have one more kit thanks to Karl and Rudy that I plan on giving away to some lucky angler at the Grand Rapids fishing show!!
You mean I now have a chance to win them both.........especially if I make a trip to Grand Rapids for the show. I have been thinking about it. Those baits just look neat. I'll us 'em. If I don't win, I will buy a kit.
