Wondering if anyone has ever tried this or has any suggestions about how to dye plastic tubes a smoke color. To clarify I have a variety of tube that I like the color a flake in it but the base plastic is more of a Clear Tone and I'd like to make it smokey. Has anyone ever tried this or know what would be good to use? I realize this is out of left field but I'm hoping somebody has some ideas.
Wouldn't it be a matter of adding a very small amount of black color? Maybe a diluted black dye?
That's what I wanted I just wasn't sure if that stuff was even available except for pouring new Plastics
I'm not sure which dye would be available and work but I imagine one of the do-it-yourself shops could steer you in the right direction.
I have a bottle of some kind of Spike it in Black
If you around the Metro Area, Your more then welcome to it
Like Dan said, Just dilute the Dye till you get that shade of Gray your after
Couldn't remember if they made Spike it in black. But I thought they might have though I don't have that color. That would be one way to do it if it is a bottle of the liquid Spike-it.
Spike-It also has a black die marker that might work well. The marker might be easier to control the color to get smoke.

I was wondering if the bottle of liquid or the marker would be easier to try to get smoke?
