Dave,
Do you know if the no wake restriction on the Half Moon chain will be lifted before the tournament? I was there today and the notice that was posted at the Ranger station did not say when it might be lifted.
Willie
Yea, the notice said the whole chain was under a no wake restriction due to the extremely high water level. I did see several docks still underwater. The dock at the launch was partially submerged as well. I only had a few hours so I never left Half Moon. I only caught a few dinks.
Willie
That is the first I heard of the no wake due to high water.
I will be calling the DNR in the morning, then posting here with what I find out.
David
I Talked to Jon at the Pinckney Rec. Office. He stated that he was not sure if the slow no-wake for the entire Halfmoon Chain will be lifted by Sunday or not. It really depends on what we get for rain over the next few days. He asked that I call him back on Saturday Afternoon. I will post what I findout on Saturday.
Remember, The Halfmoon Chain will be off-limits starting Thursday 10-02-08.
I talked with Jon from the Pinckney Rec. Area, who supports the Halfmoon Launch this afternoon around 5:00 pm. He stated that the water has been going down and that the regular areas on the chain wil be no-wake. The main lake area will not be no-wake.
Results? I've had a tough time on that chain this year and wondered how you guys did.
Started out extremely foggy, but turned out it cleared up 30-45 minutes after blast-off.
