Hope to see a lot of you at the Novi show over the next four days. I was talking to Wayne about his new Xtreme Bass Tackle items for 2008 available at the Novi show.
Wayne is excited about his new exclusive, custom color St. Clair crayfish tube color. Buy it at the show in 4", 5" and also the HOT 2.5 inch drop shot tubes!!!
The 2.5" drop shot tubes were smoking hot last year, boating tons of bass so Wayne has expanded the color selection to more of his top colors now in the 2.5".
You working in Wayne's booth DJ??? Or do you have a booth of your own?
Ya gotta LOVE those little 2.5's....Last year I only bought a couple colors, but I will fix that this weekend at the show..
JC
I'm at The Bass Federation of Michigan (TBF) (http://www.michigantbf.com/) booth and Wayne's - they're right next to each other. Next off the aisle after Kim Stricker's hook n look booth. 2200 row I believe opposite wall from 'Lake Ultimate.'
I saw Wayne's new St. Clair crayfish (http://www.combat-bassfishing.com/) today - AWESOME color!! This color will have a ton of fish-catching applications, not just on St. Clair. I will be catching a bunch of fish on it this year. I promise.
If you stop by and find me there (if I'm not at a seminar or yakking at someone), make sure and ask to see the new KaRu VibraSpins (http://www.karulures.com/) - another HOT bait that I guaranty will be putting some bass in your boats this season. I don't even want to show people because then they'll buy them!!?! But the nice guys from KaRu don't intend that I keep them all myself ;D
You'll have to check out the fantastic underwater footage Kim (http://www.kimstrickerproductions.com/) has next door too. Amazing to watch. That's about all I've seen so far. Well... I do think KVD walked by...? Anyway, while I don't have any direct relationship with Kim and his show, he did name his son after me... okay, that's not actually true, but thanks to us both having the same name, Kim finally remembers my name all the time now. You don't know how that makes me feel ;D Now... if he'll only remember the line about the crayfish...???
I helped Wayne out in his booth last night.
The new color of tube was selling so fast that I had to go pick up some more for Wayne today at the suppliers.
I love the new color.
I also agree with the earlier post about the drop shot tubes. They were really hot last year.
I neeeeeed to pick up some of the Lake Erie Gobies in the drop shot size.
I don't remember Wayne having them last year......
Stopped by the booth yesteday and chatted with Wayne for a bit. Ended up buying 3 different colors of the drop shot tubes... can't wait to try them out!! I know no one else over here on the west side will be using them!!
Is it April yet????
Sorry to tell ya but i used them alot last year along with alot of other west siders, and will be using them even more in 2008. They works good, real good.
OK, since I have to work this weekend and can't make it up there, I'll need a detailed discription of the new tube color, or better yet a picture of his new color. I wish he would do some with solid heads for flipping.
I have bought quite a bit of stuff from Wayne over the last few years and his stuff just keeps getting better and better. Tonight I replenished my supply of what I have run out of added a couple of new colors to my arsenal thanks to the seminar today. He has some great stuff. I also attended all four (4) of his seminars. For that I received a very nice parting gift. I guess I am now a graduate of Wayne Carpenter's Smallmouth Insider University. Graduated at the top of my class......and received my Smallmouth Insider University B.S. degree or something like that............I am not really sure what the B.S. stands for.........I think I will ask Wayne.
BD ;D
I'm like Tim, I used the 2 1/2" all over Indiana and Michigan last year. The work just as well on Lake Michigan!

Well, in my circle of friendly compitors I know for sure no one was drop shotting any sort of tube bait... so I'm hoping these guys are blind to these baits again this season!
Yeah these new tube color is definately gonna be a great addition to my arsenal this year,(i bought 100) to try out. Im a westsider so hopefully its a color that they wont see much of. (No you cant buy any Tim there all mine haha) also picked up the 2.5 in some colors to try out, might be a great finesse bait on a tough day, since we cant drop shot the way i like.. oh well. once again thanks wayne for a great product..-skeeterman-
Well I hope all you guys didnt clean him out, hope he has them up on ebay soon so I can make an order. Skeet, so you ended up making it to the show? How was it?

I spent the whole weekend at the show to catch all of Wayne's seminars. I left with a lot of great new information. He also had Dan speak at all of his seminars too! Their seminar was more like a mini-series. Each one was different but what you learned in the previous seminar carried over to the next one. It was also real nice to meet UAWBigDog while I was there too! I walked around all weekend and everytime I passed Wayne's booth they were always packing new bags of his new St. Clair Crayfish. They were really selling fast. It really looks like a winner. I can't wait to try it out!
Thanks everyone for visiting and introducing yourself if we hadn't met before (but I am almost half a century old... so introduce yourself again next time ;D). I'm sitting on a stool at Hooters and even meet skeeterman190 who just happens to be sitting at the next table and saw my GreatLakesBass t-shirt (http://www.cafepress.com/greatlakesbass)... small world (or maybe a lot of anglers just hang out there?!? ;D).
We sold out of the new 4" St. Clair crayfish! Very nice color - one of the best new colors I've seen of all the intriguing new colors. Wayne will have more in to replenish the stocks for Grand Rapids I believe.
You guy's are killing me! Whats his new color? When will he have it up in his online store?
Boy it's a great color.... or should I say colors.... If only I had taken more money to buy some... Doug, You gotta see them wow!!!!!! ;D ;D ;D

We could tell you or show you, but then we'd have to kill you!!!
And when Wayne gets to Grand Rapids in March, I'll be the first one there and I'm going to buy all he brings with him!! So you still won't know. LOL!!!
Man you guy's are cruel! CRUEL I SAY! I have a pretty good idea though what his new color might be anyway, I'm just waiting to SEE IT! Or at least get some kind of discription. I'll bet you guy's all failed the part about "plays well with others" when you were in school.
Whatttt?!? Moi!?!
I had very good plans to get a bright close up and forgot to do so with all the things going on at the show. I think I got one of the sign somewhere that wasn't real close up to the actual tubes... I'll go through all the pics this weekend and get some posted. Maybe I took a closeup and forgot about it??
It really is a great color. I'll be catching some bass on it in 2008! Nice to see some of the other top colors expanded into the HOT dropshot tubes!!
