Why couldn't they have played like that all year!?!? I guess I know several reasons why, but that ought to give those bucknuts in Columbus something to think about !!!
GO BLUE!!
I think we saw a preview of the Rich Rodriguez offense. Trick plays and razzle dazzle. This was not a Lloyd Carr type of game. This game plan did not come from his play book in my mind. I was actually happy to see a game coached by Carr that was nothing like we have ever seen from him before. An awesome way to go out........A WINNER!!!!! I can't wait until next year.
I think we can all agree that the SEC is overrated.
BD ;D
As much as I hate to admit it, I was glad to see TSUN beat FLA. I hate the SEC! And yes they are as much overrated as they are arrogant. It will be interesting to see what Rich Rodriguez does. By the way, did you guy's see that poster that a TSUN fan had at the game? It read " Why settle for Les when you can get Rich quick ". I thought that was pretty good.
Please explain TSUN to this Michigan alum. Thanks!
I loved the fact that Rich Rod was allowed to wander the sidelines during the game. Shows how classy Lloyd Carr and the Michigan program is. You didn't see that at any other bowl game.
I also thing West Virginia will do well with their new, now NON-Interim coach.
TSUN refers to "That school up north". As you know, or may not know, Woody Hayes hated the University Michigan so much that he could not even utter the name of the state, he just called them "that school up north". It was once said that the team bus ran out of gas 2 miles from the Ohio line because he would not buy gas in Michigan. The team pushed the bus into Ohio. Gotta love the rivalry. And if you couldn't tell already, I'm a buckeye.
What many people don't know... the players didn't push... Woody pulled the bus from the front with a chain hooked to the ring through his nose!!!
What I thought I saw in the bowl game... besides one heck of a great game... was a bunch of seniors who decided to play like they had the experience and talent to not be beaten. I think the coaches put everything into seeing what was needed to stun a young team that was expecting one style of play (probably similar to what they saw last year from the bucknuts and what everyone expects from the Big Ten)!!
Now... if only the bucknuts can get the job done!!! Beat that other SEC team!!! Silence all thos SEC kooks for a few days anyway. For that one day... I'll even root for you (possibly with a grimace on my face... but I'll do it) ;D
Hey there Dan, it's all about the Big Ten! And yes I thought the team as a whole finally played up to their potential. That was the first time in many years that I saw a Michigan team make the plays when they needed to. Whats even more impressive is that they won with the 4 turnovers, 2 of them inside the 5. And I think the Buckeyes will shut up all the critics, and those SEC kooks. So come on Dan, root for the Buck Monday! Just look at like your rooting for the Big Ten.
It will hurt more than a little... but I'm going to root for them Monday... don't let me down!!! ;D
Nevermind, Buckeye football had their day in the sun. I hope if they ever do make it back to the championship game that they actually play in it.
You Sports nuts have way too much time on your hands...LOL
What?!? I only have time for one team/sport and that is Michigan Wolverines football!!! I do try to root for the other Big Ten teams during bowl season, whenever they play the fightin' irish ('we don't want the irish'), anyone from the pac10 and anyone from the sec.
Shoot - what is going on here!?! Michigan plays like they maybe could have all year and stomps Florida (without 4 turnovers, it would have been a solid stomping), and then the bucks play like another team (not a good one)... again... and get beat up by a team they should be able to beat... if they really wanted to. Maybe they should save up their mojo next year for the last game of the year?
