Title: Take me fishing...
Post by: Team KaRu on December 16, 2007, 09:40:42 AM
My daughter, now almost 17. I miss taking her fishing. She is my youngest of four... Now I have to wait for them all to grow up, get thru life a little and bring the grandkids back to fish with me.  This picture makes me think of that advertisement where she says "Take me fishing, because someday I will be getting married"
Enjoy your children, time goes by faster than you think...

Very nice - that is what it's all about! It makes me immediately think of our TBF youth, our summer Fish-n-Friends event and the "take me fishing" campaign I need to point out more at http://www.waterworkswonders.org/index.cfm

Awesome picture, Team KaRu!!! Picture of the month!

My daughter gave birth to my first grandson this October.
I know I"m crazy, but I've already got his first fishing pole stored away in the garage.
I'm gonna be that kind of Grandpa.
The kind that shows em how to bait a hook, and follow a blood trail.  How to sit still in the blind, and how to reel down before setting the hook.
Yep, I'm gonna be that kind of Grandpa.........

I have a 15 year old and a 5 year old. Both girls..Enjoy them while they are young..My 15 year old is at that stage now where it is all about school, cheerleading and her friends, my 5 year old loves to fish hopefully that will continue..I was just today looking at some video of a family fishing outing on Long Lake..She was reeling in an 18 inch smallie that pretty much destroyed her snoopy pole.  She is getting a Zebco 33 underspin for Christmas with a spinning rod.  Hopefully the underspin will make the transition to a spinning reel that much easier for her.  I see the WBT in her future..

My daughter is 13.  She still likes to fish with me.  I am glad she does.  I don't think she will ever lose sight of that.  She is all about her friends and school and stuff.......but she will still get up early and go fishing with her Dad.  My boy loves to go fishing.  He begs me to take him whenever he can go.  I take him as often as I can.  He is much more enthusiastic about it than my daughter.  I think my daughter likes to take pictures of me with the fish I catch.  I believe that is the artist in her.  She is a very talented artist.  She drew me a picture for Christmas from a photo of me she took catching a fish.  It was great.

Take me fishing because before you know it I will be grown and married with children of my own.............. ;)

My Kids are 11 Girl, 6 Girl, 4 boy, and 11 month old boy.  The oldest three all love fishing, and two of them love shooting a bow, and my 4 year old son's new favorite pass time is shopping for guns anywhere that we can find guns.

I am SUPER Excited about the Fishers of Men Legacy division starting in MI this year.  I plan on fishing it with my 11 year old, and she is pumped about it.  The only way we can insure a great future for this nation is if we raise great children, and the only way we can raise great children is to teach them to love and respect God and country, and the outdoors can be a great introduction to both.

My son is 15 and my daughter is 12. They both absolutely love to hunt and fish. My son and I fished the fishers of men tournaments last year on the west side and won three out of the four we fished thanks inpart to him. He is turning in to a great fishermen. He even won a NBAA one on one tournament this past year and got big bass. My daughter shot her first 6 point buck this year with a rifle. My son has already gotten 4 bucks with a bow and 3 with a gun. I could go on and on and on and on. Im a proud dad.

Take your kids hunting and fishing, They will thank you for it.

I took my oldest daughter out on Erie 3 years ago Mothers Day and got her her first smallmouth. She has since graduated highschool and everyonce in a while I'll bring that picture up and she still smiles about that trip. My youngest is my only son and he is 13, and the kid outfishes me every now and then. Very good flipping and pitching so this year I'm thinking about fishing a couple club opens down here with him. He really has his heart set on becoming a tournament angler when he gets older. Dan, if I send you the picture of my daughter with that fish, could you post it for me? It's too big and I don't know how to reduce it.
