Found a range of temps yesterday but mostly in the low 50s. Colder deep and towards the St. Clair river channels (more like 45 there).

I heard Muskamoot Bay was still real cold this past weekend. Might be too early.

Without a doubt.  Super cold water flowing down the river.  Bucks are not even up yet thinking about beds up there.  I propose we move the tx back a couple weeks!  :)

So are the water levels up? where should I set my water level offset?

I'm moving the tournament back to May 7. How does that work for everyone?

Water is up a little from last year I understand but I do not have offset data off the top of my head.

54 along the Mile Roads today.  Clear water everywhere, so that's good.

Fished all over yesterday.  Water ranged from 49 by Muskamoot to 54 by the mile roads.  Smooth day in the morning then got a little choppy in the afternoon.   Fishing was not as good as it has been the last 3 weeks.  Did not find a bed fish anywhere.  All my waypoints from last years event were empty.  Fished a couple canals and caught a few largemouths.    Water was 55 in the canals.  Going to be a challenging event this year.   The warm days we have leading up to it could move them in.

Need another 5 degrees before they will start bedding in any numbers.  I think the Bent Rod Pattern will prevail all along the western shore!   ;)

With water temps like that it could still be a blade bait bite.

You can't catch fish on Blade Baits.   Or maybe you can.   Everyone should  have  one tied on.
