Title: St. Clair questions
Post by: Firefighter Jeff on April 23, 2016, 01:20:10 PM
Couple St. Clair questions.

1.  I've seen guys stopping on the water for lunch and a libation. Would someone clue me in on a good place(s) to try.  May have up to 4 boats and it'll be during the week.

2. Looks like the wind could be a issue for our trip this next week.  Any suggestions on good channels to fish if we have to get out of the wind?  We have fished some north of SELF but was looking for some down by the mile roads.  I'm sure some are better than others in reguards to depth, fish or water clarity.  Have run into that up north.

Thanks in advance for your advice.

I think the best place along the Mile Roads is Mike's On The Water.  It is between 9 and 10 Mile.  I think it's the canal that the Coast Guard station is at.  Someone may want to verify.  They have some docks and even if their docks are full, you can tie up on their wall.  Nice bar, nice restaurant.  They have an awesome cheeseburger with the cheese on the inside.  Give 'em a try.

I'll PM you about the canals. ;)

Jeff, I have been having really good luck in Anchor bay early season....If it gets too windy you may want to play around in there...
