Not much of a report, but since I went out I'll give the details.
I just got out this afternoon around 3 to give the used boat I bought a shake down. Boat ran fine, but was hard starting, so I'll need to address that. Anyway... I wasn't out to fish, but I couldn't resist at least wetting a line for about 20 minutes before I needed to head in.
Water color: Green
Visibility: 2+ ft.
Water temp: 47 degrees
I drifted in from 9 FOW to start. Tossed a jerkbait- no followers, nothing. Decided to slow it way down with the poor water clarity and tossed a tube for 10 minutes and landed a 3lb smallie pretty quick. It came in 6.7 FOW.
That's it. Like I said, I wasn't out fishing really...just test driving the boat. But for 20 minutes, to end up with a decent fish, I was happy with that for my first time on the lake in 2 years.
It should get a lot better "Real soon" ;)
I got your text. I had a long hard day and was not able to respond or call. We will hook up sometime next week if that works for you... I have your tube heads in my vehicle. If your fishing Sunday, I should be out with Dan Kimmel, If he don't back out on me. :P I could meet you on the water or at the ramp.
Glad to see some FRESH reports on LSC ;D Heading up for the annual trip at the end of May. Please get the fish warmed up for us :D :D Y'all got a great lake.
Consider the bass warmed up real well! :D
