I've never fished the UP
But I Deer hunt up there

We stay at Little Cove on the lake
Nice clean rustic place right on lake Milakakio Lake
It's fully furnished won't break the bank and plenty of parking

It's close to Manistique lake and Big Manistique
Heard the fishing is good in all 3 lakes

Charlevoix, Elk-Torch Area, Burt-Mullett Lakes would all be good places for fishing though not quite the U.P. yet. Alpena area can be nice too. Depends on the time of year and what your goals are?

There's a member of the site that guides in the UP
His user name is "Big Tom"
