Title: Charity to donate tackle to?
Post by: Hollada on January 02, 2016, 04:45:57 PM
A 72 year old friend of mine had her husband pass away recently.  He's got a bunch of older fishing equipment she would like to donate to a charity that can put the stuff to use.   There are probably a dozen old rods (Zebco's, ugly sticks, bps, etc) a several spinning reels and bait casting reels, 2 tackle boxes with misc cranks,  topwater lures (mostly bps), hooks and sinkers,  and a couple of boxes full of unopened misc crappie jigs, zoom plastics, spinners, spinnerbaits, etc.

Can you guys recommend a charity that would go to her place in Oxford and pick up the stuff?

Dan

D - let me check with Oakland County youth outreaches - Try Adaptive Recreation Outreach. They pair non profit agencies with recreation using our waters and parks.
