The best is yet to come. Yesterday the water was still 68 degrees and the end of my dock. When it gets to 60 and clears up the smallie fishing starts to get good. The boat traffic will be way down. My time of year.
This guy. Let's have a boat winterizing party :P
I never got started
Still hoping to make it home and get started.
Not me - I'll fish until I can't anymore. I love weekends on the water listening to football while catching a few big ones that are feeding up!
Blade Bait Fishing in November is tough to beat. My Aluminum Jon boat is on the hoist until ice starts to form on the lake.
I'm temporarily on hold until I get the transmission back in my Tahoe. Next week probably. After that it's smallies in north of town and blade bait largemouth around G.R. No ice, no problem!!
That's the spirit. It ain't over until it's over.
Was it over when the Germans attacked Pearl Harbor?
I'm just starting to get excited about fishing.. The big girls come out to play and crave some blade baits. It don't get much better than this.

Where did you get those baits? I need some!
As the now Late Great Yogi Bera used to say, "It aint over till it's over!"

He makes them, but you might be able to get a few if you give him a prop...
I plan on fishing until the lake freezes over. My season has been very interrupted this year, so I'm taking every chance I get. November is looking like my schedule will open up a bit, so I'm hoping for a warmer than usual fall. If the farmers almanac is right, our winter will be mild, especially in late December. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this comes true because I want to fish Lake St. Clair on Christmas day. Maybe I'll even duplicate what Gerald Swindle did last year and fish with a Christmas tree on the back deck!
Make sure you get pictures. Video too!

Wolverine Lake yesterday. Had the whole lake to myself. Fish were biting even though the wind was howling.

Give him that aluminum prop. I'm telling you. Props = baits.

Fishing was slow for us yesterday, and chilly, but it was fishing, and that's alright.
