Title: BASS State Fish Off
Post by: Eric on August 02, 2007, 06:57:59 PM
Almost here, end of this month, boy the fish ought to be in ghe channels real good by then.  Been looking forward to it, reading up on the progress of the channel migration, bought my Canada and Walpole licenses for the tournament, got my reservations for the week.  All set, can't wait for it to get here.

Today, I check the website just to see if there is anything new, and I see the participant list is on there now.  I check it out, and I'm not on the list.  I call the guy from my club, who tells me they're not letting me fish, because my stuff was in too late.  I call the tournament director, who says the same thing, and too bad for me.

Now I quit the federation a few years ago, because of bad experiences, but I decided to give it a try again this year, since it has been awhile and most everyone deserves a second chance.  This is my results of giving them a second chance.  Lost the money form buying the licenses, cancelling the reservations, telling the guys I was going to take out to see the river and practice sorry you're stuck on the bank, telling the family sorry no vacation now, and worst of all I can't fish the tournament.

Guess there won't be a third chance.  Good luck to all who get to fish.

Were you late???? If you were late I guess you don't really have anything to complain about. If you weren't late I would continue to take it up the chain.  I know they were trying to get as many people to fish as they could so this kind of surprises me.
Good luck...

I probably shouldn't post on this because i'm probably mistaken but i had thought the only major contigency was you had to be on a Michigan BASS Federation Nation club roster by 6/1/07.  Then the state fish-off rosters for every club needed to be in by 7/16/07.  If you were in by those milestone dates then I'd continue to push..otherwise fish the club and qualify for next year.  Good Luck.

Didn't your info and money get sent in with your club?

If you were late, why wasn't the whole club late?

Unless you didn't give it to your club in time.
