For more than two decades, anglers had been fishing the annual Mark's Outdoors Open Bass Tournament, knowing a fish that weighed exactly 7.00 pounds would be worth $25,000.
But no one had been able to collect the prize - until Saturday.
Brian Horton of Cleveland, Ala., caught a fish that hit the magic mark during Saturday's 21st renewal of the event on Logan Martin Lake. The fish, which hit a Stanley Ribbit paddletail frog in a patch of weeds, was netted by his 8-year-old daughter, Anna Grace.
