Who is planning on going Thursday.
I plan on leaving Union Lake area about 1:00 to head that way. Anyone wanting a ride let me know.
See you there!
Is anyone else going today. I plan on being there around 2:00. Leaving Commerce around 1:00 if anyone want a ride.
I can't go as it is too far away. What time are they voting?
Sometime in the late afternoon. I will report what happened when I get home and get done with all my ASAP notices various people need. I'm going to talk about the meeting and the process on Wild Michigan Radio with Duran Martinez this weekend too.
Can someone post when and where?
Yes sir. If it is passed, I will head out and fish this weekend but need to cancel plans. Fingers crossed.

I just saw this posted on the MI DNR website. It looks like CIR passed just as everyone expected.
The meeting just started 10 minutes ago.... I am not sure how valid that is.
I just watched the webinar online. They just talked about it, but did not vote yet.
Interesting that they would post it on their website before the vote. If it isn't valid then why post?
Doesn't make sense to me. I am watching the webinar still...no vote yet. Still waiting.
yea, it's on facebook it must be true CIR is good to go
The public speaking portion seems to be done. Now the video went blank... not sure what's going on.
I can't see any updates saying it was approved. I know I am blind. What about CDR? Was that approved?
Video quit working for me too. Refreshed and it came back on for a bit, then went black again.
They approved CIR. Good thijg snce it is already in the regulations. They said they will exxplore CDR further in the future.
So get out there and go BASS fishing.
SWEET!!! Thanks for the update! Going to be a great weekend
The Natural Resources Commission voted today to approve Fisheries Order 215.15 making catch-and-immediate-release bass fishing legal year-round in Michigan effective immediately. The regular bass seasons do not change so there is no new bass tournament opportunity, only catch and release. But there is no longer a closed statewide bass season.
In case you were wondering, it was just driving you crazy to know, it is now legal to also catch-and-immediately release bass around the Beaver Island archipelago before July 1st even.
Now when you click the regulations link it doesn't say anything about the CIR being year round. Maybe they are updating it???

I'm sure we will see changes on this very soon.
BD ;D
They accidentally 'flipped the switch' on the eregs website earlier in the day, and then when they found out, they 'flipped the switch' back off shortly before the vote. It should be back on there by now since they already had it ready to go. It is official regardless. dartag, Dave Reault and I were all there for the vote.
Yup their site is updated now
