After I powerwashed and scrubbed the boat, motor, and trailer last night, I noticed some discolored areas on the hull. The hull is white, but there are some areas that are stained off-whitish, brown. It is not at the water line, and is not really uniform. Any ideas? Soap scum remover, comet, Color restorer???
soap WHAT remover?
you got a lot of that round your house do ya?
That was supposed to be scum. Apparently the s turned into space and capital c. Oops. You'd think it was Monday morning or something. So, you got any ideas on how to get rid of it? Guess I don't need to bother asking if anyone wants to fish LSC Wed-Sat this week, now do I.
ohhhhhh ok... well - just a guess.. but i would try some light rubbing compound on a soft rag. :)

i don't wanna fish outta your stained-a** boat. :p
FYI - There is a "modify" button you can use to correct your posts. ;D I fixed it for you because...yikes!
BTW - A 50/50 mix of Vinegar and Water and a lot of elbow grease will probably take care of the stain as good as anything you can buy on the market. I wouldn't mess up the gel coat by trying to use anything abraisive such as Comet.
Since a lot of the discoloration was on the back of the boat, and thedude is the only one who has been back there, I figured............
I had some Meguiar's marine & rv color restorer on my shelf. That, in conjunction with a clean your dishes type scrub pad, took it right away. A good wax job and we look like new.
Thanks for the help, and for the help.
