Title: Aqua-vu Camera Systems in Tournaments?
Post by: BassinGT on June 26, 2007, 11:21:33 AM
This may be a silly question but I was wondering about this. Is it against general tournament rules to use one of those underwater camera systems in a tournament?

Just curious.

Thanks!

I can't sight an official rule or answer to your question.

From a logical stand point, what is the difference between a hi-tech 3D sonar unit feeding you information and an actual video camera?  I have to believe some of these 20 year veterans can look at a sonar and practically visualize what they are seeing as if it was video.  (I wish I was that guy!).

I dont see a problem with it.

correct - no rules that deny use of a camera.  I use my camera all the time.

On an interesting side note, my wife just called me and said they found the body of that Macomb Twp mother and wife who was killed by her plumber.  she said it was actually two fisherman who found her with an Aqua Vu out on Cass Lake.  Thats what she got from the news anyway.  I am sure we will hear more of it tonight.

Sick world we live in.
