Title: Good inland lakes for pan fish through the ice
Post by: dborsa on February 22, 2015, 06:22:13 PM
I live in the Livonia area and I am looking for an inland lake within the 30-35 mile range to catch some pan fish. Has anyone had any recent success on lakes in this area. I've been on St. Clair a few times but the perch bite has been spotty with mostly small fish. I would appreciate any reports or advice.

I heard that they have been doing well on Ford and Cass lake..Don't know this to be fact. but have seen some reports that look positive..
I have had the same issues with Perch on LSC..Lots of small ones but few keepers...I almost believe that the Perch are stunted..I can catch 50 dinks to one keeper..

Orchard  lake is a good spot. You don't  have to go far from the boat ramp  area . Walk out to where the no - wake marker  is, in 4 to 5 feet of water. Lots of perch and pan fish. Mousies and meal worms  work best.
