Went out with a friend who knows the lake pretty well. We both caught about a limit (not keeping track or measuring) of decent fish. He is a jig fisherman so we stayed in deeper waters most of the time. About halfway through the evening the wind changed direction and the bite stopped, coincidence? We moved around a bit and then he went home early. I stayed to fish and finally went in around 9 only to realize he left with my truck keys. :o (lesson learned, extra truck keys in boat, extra boat keys in truck from now on)
Luckily he answered his phone and headed back to the ramp. In the meantime I threw a pop-r to kill some time over 12 FOW and a 4 lber nailed it. It was geting dark and I saw him bringing my truck back to the ramp but the top water bite was on, wish I had stayed out there later. Also talked to a real nice guy in a white/green Ranger at the launch.
