The Bassmaster Classic (http://www.bassmaster.com/attend-2015-geico-bassmaster-classic) starts Friday! A short and easy contest.
Guess the winner in this thread. One guess per member. You have to have your guess posted by Thursday night 2/19/2015 11:59PM!
Tiebreaker - add the winning weight in pounds and ounces to your post for the tiebreaker. If multiple people guess the winner the person closest to the winning weight without going over wins!
1st place is 3 FREE adult entry tickets to next week's Outdoorama (http://www.outdoorama.com/) show in Novi! The tickets are good for any day February 26 - March 1.
Runner up gets 2 FREE adult entry tickets to Outdoorama!
I may throw in a prize pack for a 3rd place if many people take the time to enter. IF you cannot go to Outdoorama and you take 1st or 2nd place I can probably come up with a surprise prize pack for you in lieu of the entry tickets. I will move the prizes down in order to adjust.
Good luck! Thanks for being a GreatLakesBass.com member! And Go Catch 'em GreatLakesBass.com Member Chad Pipkens (http://www.chadpipkens.com/)!!!
Find out the latest about Outdoorama on Facebook at www.facebook.com/ultimatesportshowtour
Randall Tharp. 36 pounds.
Casey Ashley. 54lbs
Aaron Martens 48 lbs.
Casey Ashley - 64.7lbs
Jacob Powroznik 55.3 lbs
Paul Mueller 58.9lb
Scott Rook. 52.1
Casey Ashley 50lbs
Some good and interesting guesses so far. That would be something if another federation angler won too. I had to go with Chad Pipkens though I think on that group!
Have to go with Casey Ashley, 53.7#.
I'll go with Brett Hite
If it's a Chatterbait bite, he's the man plus he has some history with Hartwell
54 pounds

Let's give him Cliff Pace
He's in it this year, And I'm sure he'll be fishing hard after sitting out a whole year
Plus he was runner-up when Alton Jones won the classic on Hartwell in 2008
So he knows were and how to fish the lake
He can have KVD if he wants... but odds are against him... ;D

Well,
The guy is good.
Interesting that most think 17-18 pounds a day will win it
Well,
I hope your sitting down
Kevin didn't make it to the Classic this year
I'm gonna go with Gerald Swindle, 57.2 lbs.

Well color me green. I guess I should pick another and pay more attention . I with draw from the contest. Good luck to everyone.
Just edit your initial pick and pick someone else. I can delete your pick if you want then you can make a new entry. No one else will know.
We all got spoiled by KVD making it like a machine but he is human after all. Not your average human when it comes to bass fishing, but still human.

Got Fish,
Take Cliff Pace
He's a classic winner in the past and was runner up on this lake in 2008
Plus he's been out for a year, He'll be fishing hard
G Swindle 52.3 lb
Swindle is picking up more support... I'm still rooting for Chad Pipkens!
Some of these guys mentioned have zero chance. This is Casey Ashley's time to shine, he will win the classic with 46-8.
Brandon Palanuik- 51lbs-8oz
I'm gonna go with Palanuik as well. Young gun on the rise.
52 lbs 8 oz.
Bassmasters had the odds for every angler
Casey Ashley's had the best odds at 8:1
Jason Christie - 9:1
Cliff Pace 10:1
Aaron Martens - 13:1
Brett Hite 14:1
Michael Iaconelli - 15:1
Brandon Palanuik - 19-1
Gerald Swindle - 30:1
And Chad Pipkens - 110:1
Good luck everyone
I picked Ashley and 53.7. Just saw Palaniuk on BASS home page guessing the winning weight at 53.7. I should have picked him! Looks like it will be a great classic to watch how they all deal with the weather. Already getting delayed for the start tomorrow for safety reasons.
Well since they delayed it I'll pick Todd faircloth and 57.1
Odds for Todd Faircloth - 18:1

but not too late ? didn't start til this morning
It was a toss up for me between Palanuik and Mueller! Just like fishing- zigged when i should have zagged- oh well. Glad to see Mueller having another good classic. Always cool to see the federation guys up there. Go Pipkens-MAKE THE CUT!!!
Well Paliniuk is having a terrible weekend. Looks like I'm out.
After day 2 here's the top 10
Takahiro Omori 31-11
2 Dean Rojas 31- 9
3 Michael Iaconelli 31- 0
4 Randy Howell 30-11
5 Casey Ashley 29-14
6 Brett Hite 29- 7
7 Coby Carden 29- 0
8 Paul Mueller 27-15
9 Bobby Lane 27-14
10 Skeet Reese 27- 1
I guess I should have picked Icanelli. He was my second choice .
Brett Hite is hanging in there
Seeing how he also fishes the FLW, there's not allot of coverage with him
And there calling for rain and warning temps
What's interesting is all the different patterns they have
Rojas is throwing a shaky head
Iaconelli is fishing deep with a jig
Howell is throwing a crank around a bridge
Skeet is shallow
I think Omori is finesse fishing
The lake is full of bass but it appears they move around a lot. Maybe that's why so many things are working (besides the freezing cold arrival of winter)?

Day late and a bass pro too short. Sorry. Got to read the fine print... ;D
Team Houston nailed it with Casey Ashley and 50 pounds
The winner of the Classic is Casey Ashley with 50-1
When do I get my new Ranger boat?
As soon as you apply for the loan! ;D
Okay! We all know (unless you've been under a rock! :) ) Casey Ashley became the first hometown local favorite to win the Bassmaster Classic Sunday with a 3-day total of 50 pounds 1 ounce.
There are 3 contest winners. Actually Casey Ashley was the apparent GreatLakesBass.com favorite too with 5 people picking him to win but only the top 3 players get the big prize!
1st PLACE - Team houston with a tiebreaker guess bordering on premonition of 50 pounds 1 ounce UNDER the actual winning weight. Buy a Mega Millions or something and maybe you will get that Ranger Boat!
You have first choice of 3 FREE Adult tickets to Outdoorama this week if you want them. Let me know and I can leave them at will call.
2nd PLACE - TCook with a tiebreaker guess of 46-8 next closest without going over. You have 1st dibs at 2 FREE Adult tickets to Outdoorama if you want them and can make it. Or they are your's for whatever. Let me know.
And honorable mention 3rd PLACE - robhj for going over on the tiebreaker weight but next closest guess at 53-7 - I can give you 1 ticket to Outdoorama if you want and throw in a buy 1-get 1 too if you think you'll come over. Otherwise I will come up with some replacement of similar value if not.
Let me know and congratulations! Thanks everyone for playing along!
