Title: Woodland lake
Post by: stackenem on June 21, 2007, 08:30:37 PM
Had a pretty good day on Woodland this AM. Started fishing about 6:30 and left at 11. Boated a few fish on cranks and a few more on plastic. Best part was I caught 2 bass at the same time on a X rap crank I had a 3 lb'er on the back treble and a 2 lb'er on the front treble quite a fight it was.

I have had pretty good luck out there this year also. Since it is the closest to my work I go there quite a bit. Even though I did find the gravel bar just to the right out of the ramp :( .
It has a very nice launch and some good spots, mainly I fish the north shore of the main lake across from the island. There is a good point there where it drops from 3' to 12' quickly.
Have you ever caught anything in the main "bowl" just out from the launch? I have not.
I never went to the back lake either, any tips for over there?

On the back side of the lake throw cranks in the river channel and buzz frogs on the pads.
