hey guys, got a question, anybody know where a good place would be to fish for smalllies over that week?would prefer to go with someone who knows the water and and also has a boat that would be good for that water. only have the first 2 days of the week to do it and would like to be within driving distance of nappanee area. And, learn what i'm doing wrong when i tube fish.. thanks again..karol
Up north near the nappanee area is where? Is that in the UP? They say that West Bay of Grand Traverse Bay is about peak spawn over the Fourth.
i wish, no i live down in nappanee indiana by the amish. wife doesn't have off that week so i'm hoping to maybe got lsc but it'll prolly be crazy during that time ehh? maybe should just go to maxincucki instead but something about michigan and smallies is so right together. got a need that should be taken care of ;D..karol
Your best bet is to go to Wawasee or Maxi. if you are staying close to home. Quanities can be found in the St Joe River (Maggies Landing in Mishawaka or possibly the Buchanan, Mi streach) but not many big fish like erie or St Clair. You could also try Gull Lake in Kalamazoo for a mixed bag. I find the best smallmouth fishing starts at about Cadillac and North. Muskegan has some nice small mouth also.
