Title: Rod reel matchup for use
Post by: Jefferson on December 31, 2014, 09:34:50 PM
I have a revo s 6.4 and a tatula 7.3 reel. Also a 6'9" mh Abu Garcia veracity and a 6'6" medium BPS carbonlite. I want to get the most use out of both technique wise so would it make sense to put the tatula on the mh veracity and the revo s on the carbonlite? Right now the revo s is on the veracity, but I'm picking up the carbonlite and tatula on Friday.

I see it that way as well

The MH would be the jig rod
Get it back to the boat fast and cast again

6.3 on the med would be a good crank, lipless or wacky rod

Makes sense.  I sometimes find that my preferred methos s of fishing don't always mirror conventional wisdom.  What feels best to you will likely work for you, with few exceptions.

Most important is to get out often enough to expeiment and find out what works for you.
