Dear Poorboy
My story is as old as time. I found out yesterday my partner ( fishing that is ) has left me for another fishermen. I know I am older and have not performed well the last few events but it leave me with an empty feeling. Kind of like when you take the last Senko out of the bag and the empty bag is staring at you. Guess he found some hotshot stick on Kent Lake and is off with him for the weekend. I will take the high road and move on. I hear there are " Singles " tournaments out there. Maybe I will find happiness there.
PS. If you see B. Mccarter this weekend on Kent tell him I said hi. Guess he is fishing with a new partner. HEY!!!!
Good luck boys. Be waiting for the report.
:D
Who needs a partner when you clean up on Monday and Wednesday nights all by yourself? I wouldn't want the extra baggage ;)
Sorry bout the partner swipe Steve. If its any conculation, I am done with him for now. You may have him back. But i may call upon him again, soon.
We had alot of fun, caught a lot of fish, and took 2nd place in the Midwest Sportsman event on Kent Lake with just under 14 lbs after a hefty dead fish penalty that cost us 1.15 lbs and almost $300.
The fish were in a postspawn funk and not willing to hit anything moving. We had to finesse them with jigs and homemade stick baits. We lost a couple good ones that came unbottoned or broke line/knots, but we still went out there and caught em good.
Thanks to Grant aka MaizeNBlue for loaning us the boat. Thanks to you Dartagnian for loaning me your best buddy and fishing partner.
McCarter himself :-\'
