Title: Amber or copper shaded lenses
Post by: Hooksetter on June 05, 2007, 09:09:06 PM
Does anybody use sunglasses with amber or copper lenses? I was wondering how they compare to vermillion. I have found two companies that make bifocal sunglasses but they do not offer a vermillion lense.

The companies are the Ono Trading Co. and Guideline. Does anybody know of any others that offer vermillion lenses?

Just my personal preference, but I prefer copper (If I can find it) over vermillion as lenses go.   I've always felt it has better contrast, especially for bed fishing in the spring.  Amber is nice for overcast days or running down the lake early in the morning, but I don't buy that lens color any more since I wore them so seldom.

For the bifocals, have you checked out Solar Bat's Prescription offerings (http://www.solarbatshades.com/prescription-sunglasses-c-10.html?zenid=3fff4940d968955197bf47ddd4beb175)?  I know the founder of Solar Bat is an optometrist and you can send in your prescription to them.

I have quite a few pairs of Ono's, and I'd be willing to make you a smokin' deal on a pair!  I used to be the sales rep for them and have a bunch of my samples left.  PM me if interested.

Otherwise, buy Solar Bats! ;D
