I was so glad to read on Bassmaster that they were moving the dates of the St. Clair event.  I look forward to Elite series events in Michigan like most people look forward to Christmas.  I was so pumped when I saw LSC on the 2015 schedule only to have my excitement ended when I found out it was the same weekend as a conference for work.  Usually, I would request time off, but this conference is the yearly main event for our industry.  An event that I responsible for from start to finish.  I was so bummed, but thankfully the bass gods smiled upon me and I am now just 20 minutes away from the opening of registration for being a marshal.

I wonder how many are still going to run to Erie with the Rayovac going out of Sandusky at the same time?

That's a very interesting point. I never even thought of that until you mentioned it.  I bet that will make a few pros think twice, but I still imagine there will be a good number of boats heading down the river.  I really think you will see quite a few more running up to Huron.  Between Chris Lane's 2013 win coming from there and the fact that Lake Huron is putting up huge numbers this year, I really think this will be where a lot of anglers go.

Will make for a much better ride for the marshalls!  No getting beat up in Detroit River!!

Running all the way up the St. Clair River isn't always so great either... depends on wind direction and large boat traffic.

It can be a nightmare coming back on the weekend if the river is loaded with Freighters and Tuna boats......Even with no boat wake issues I have made the turn south of St Clair and thought I was down on the Miracle Mile.....

I signed up for Guntersville and Kentucky Lake today. Am passing for the present on Marshalling St. Clair. May attend, but that ride with Clifford Pirch from Metro to Pelee in the wind we had was a killer for an old guy. It was the second worst boat ride Pirch said he had ever had. The first was on Erie as well.

Today was the first day you could sign up unless you are a life member or a BASS Fed member. Your entry is time stamped and it determines whether you get in and whether you get in for the third day.
