Title: BBT tournament Cadillac
Post by: OUTLAW on June 03, 2007, 04:41:29 PM
Wow what a great turn out 87 boats That has to be the biggest tournament in michigan. That is the way tournaments should be. BBT dose a great job if you did not make it to cadillac don't miss the next on at muskegon this saturday. BBT pays out 70% at the ramp 20% gose to the classic fund and 10% is profit.

I think with the cost of gas the way it is guys are statring to relize that it cast as much to fish against 20 boats as it dose 70+ boats but you have a better chance to make money or break even at least.

SEE YA AT MUSKEGON!!!!!!!!!

We found a bunch of greens in less than 4 ft of water, and caught one smallie at 2.4 by dragging a tube in 4 ft of water.  Only thing deep was pike and empty line.  So, what was everyone's winning tactics on the lake?  Got to see Fishhound again, that was nice, didn't get to see him weigh in though, but did meet Cfruel.  What a great guy and has a sense of humor too.  Rare for a fisherman, normally it's just lies.  :D ;)  We only had 9.21, so we got it handed to us.  Fun though, new water, never fished before, and still caught 10 to 12 keeps, that's not bad.

I wish we could have caught as many bass as we caught pike!  We caught all our keepers in about 5' or less.  The biggest was just under 3 lbs and we bird dogged it, laying in about a foot of water.  It was a good day overall.  Cadillac always produces a lot of limits.

1jav, it was nice to meet you and TCook.  Thank for the compliment.  I have never been a liar...just normally full of crap.   ;)

I will see ya'll in Muskegon.

PIKE WHAT PIKE I ONLY CAUGHT 25 OR 30 OF THEM!!!! I don't think anyone fishes for them anymore they are infested in most of the lake.

I think the DNR needs to take out the size restriction on pike in those lakes and let people keep what ever they want for a few years.  That will help get rid of the hammer handles and hopefully let the larger fish get even bigger.  If nothing else reduce the numbers a little bit.
