Great Lakes Bass Fishing Forum

I know this is not a report, but it is general discussion. I am looking for a lakefront rental cottage that will take pets for a long weekend in July.
I would like to stay somewere in the central part of michigan and preferably on a good Bass lake. I have done lots of internet searches and come up with a few places, but I know lots of you know of little hideaway places that dont really advertise.

Any help is appreciated, looking for someplace to take the family including the dog.

Check out some of there places.  Cadillac and Mitchell offer the best of the both worlds...Large Mouth and Small Mouth.  ;)

Make sure you check to see if the lake you pick has swimmers itch. Usually though by July you are pretty safe. If you could research a place on Hamlin Lake you have a top notch fishing lake and the big lake, Lake Michigan within a bike rides reach. Lots to do in Ludington.

If you get in a pinch let me know in a pm and maybe I can help you out. I have a cabin on Big Bass Lake north and west of Baldwin. Not the bass lake that it use to be because of a bout of LBV. It is coming back. Loads of small bass. It is a fun lake to fish and it is close to many very good smallmouth lakes. I have never rented it before but might consider it.
