Title: Change up
Post by: TheFishinPollock on July 19, 2014, 02:49:08 PM
Ok. Since that " other" fishing I have been doing this year is panning out like spitting into the wind......Tonight it is time for walleye.  Casting has not been my friend this year , so tonight. I sit on my can and troll.     Which I might add is always interesting in a bassboat.

Well
Sounds like a good plan
I love trolling for Walleye but i bought a bass boat this year
Been thinking with a spare seat post I could mount 4 rod holders and pull a couple boards
useing the trolling motor. Those are some good eating fish

So, you plan on pulling cranks or spinners?

I heard stick baits have been working well there.     A 3rd seat  in the bottom floor would be nice. Could keep an eye on the rods and not have to sit on a boat cushion on the tackle box locker. Makes my back hurt a little after a few hours.

Found a cheap way to see yer rod tips at night easily.   Get those 2 inch mini green glow sticks and scotch tape them to the back side of the rod tip. Just make sure you cover the ends of the light stick with tape so the line does not get stuck behind them.   I buy them from one of them online glowstick companies. Usually 100 count for 30 bucks.

Buying 2 Berkley glow stix rods. They glow on their own and have a 3 aaa battire back up in the handle.

Ok
Night trolling
Down here on Erie, It's more of a fall bite thing
Any other time, middle of the day works just as well

We use the glow sticks on the inline boards at night, and like you said buy them online
Loved seeing the board going backwards and then sinking.

And Mike
The guy owns a Champ. He's in the best riding boat out there
So take it easy on him. LOL

I was just replying to those that think a Bullet is only a go fast boat that rides bad.... Not comparing my boat against a Champion or any other boat...

I'm in Northport right now and the Pollock should expect a call soon... What day is going to be good for you? I'm trying to plan with the wind and rain in mind...

I wont be trolling for Walleye...  :P

I troll for salmon in the Pere Marquette Lake.  The Etec isn't fond of idling for three hours.  Those horses don't like being held back.  lololol

Mike,
I would think he was saying the trolling didn't pan out
And he wasn't talking about the boat

You need to help him get over the hump and put a few fish in the boat
