I have found both of these for sale for what seems like reasonable prices. Does anyone have these units or know any issues with them?
Both units are used, but says they are in excellent condition.
The X-15 comes with everything to install, plus the GPS Puck, plus speed probe.
The 2400 also comes with everything to install plus the GPS Puck.
I would put the x-15 at the front, and the 2400 at the Helm.
Total for both shipped would be $630.00
Is this a good deal? Are these good units?
Thats a great deal. As long as they are warranteed not to be D.O.A The x-15 is still for sale on the shelves of some stores still selling for $1199. The globalmap2400 sold for around 400 I think. If I needed the units, I would pay that much for sure.
I have an X-15MT that I bought last year at Cabela's on clearance for about $600.00. I have been very happy with it other then that fact it will not run a Navionics map card. The vertical pixels are not high enough for any of the newer cards. The one I bought came with Lowrance Map Create software and a MMC card. The Map Create software is really cool to use and create your own maps for the unit. You should check to see if that is included. The X-15 is out of production now so I don't know what the warranty is going to be like.

Don't quote me on this, but it's my understanding the Lowrance (for a fee) will upgrade the processor in the x-15 which may allow you to use the newer Navionics card. This is what I was told by a friend with an x-15. But as is, it will use the Navionics classic card without any problems. We tried a Lakemaster card in it and the unit could not keep up. Sounds like a good deal tho.
Thanks Rev...I will check it out!
NP - Hope it ends up being true.
