Anyone know if the hex are still hatching or is the hatch over?
Had some on my windows this morning. Must have been the cooler weather last night.
Which hatch?? ??? Mayflies hatch on St. Clair 3 to 4 different times in about a 20 to 40 day period. My guess is that they are ending here soon and it's been the 3rd or 4th hatch. Each hatch brings a different color bug. Hence forth the multiple colors in Extreme Bass Tackles Mayfly color tube. Last weekend when I was on St. Clair, there were still plenty of slicks. Should be totally over before August 1st.........I hope........
BD. ;D
We had about our 10th hatch start yesterday and it was pretty good near the shop this morning also. I have yet to see the small white mayflies which most of the time signal the end of the hex hatch.
I've seen the little white mayflies down near Windmill Point and in the Grosse Pointe areas. The hatches should be ending in the next week or so.......I hope.
