Title: Wixom lake near midland
Post by: Hollada on July 07, 2014, 11:09:56 AM
A buddy is staying on wixom lake for a week and invited me up to fish with him next weekend  never fished it before.   Any advice on locations and lures / colors would be appreciated.  Feel free to PM me as I believe this is a tourney lake and I don't want anyone to give away their secrets in a public forum  ;D

Don't ignore the canals.  I went up there for a BBC rally spring last year and caught a bunch of largemouth skipping weightless wacky rigged senkos under docks, including a nice 4+ pound largemouth just under a ski boat.

I have done well around the dam and bridge on texas rigs. Make sure you throw a frog in the slop and pads!
