Got out last night for a few hours of smallie fishing. Went out in my buddies boat so was unable to get a water temp. Lake levels are way up due to the recent rains & the water was more stained than usual. Started off getting a small one on the first cast with a new a topwater prop bait. Threw a little bit of everything but the fish just weren't going like I thought they would be. Ended up with 6, all on the smaller side but did manage one close to 5 lbs. that crushed a spook. Wish I would have caught her a month ago pre-spawn.

Nice fish! We have a family cottage in Bass Lake in Lake County and have always wanted to try pm lake! On my to do list this summer!
