Title: Motorguide grinding when turning
Post by: MSURoss on June 14, 2014, 10:35:13 PM
My motor guide Tour 82 just started grinding when I turn it from 11 to 1 o'clock. Doesn't grind when the motor is on just turning it. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Ross, just went through something similar with my older motorguide. I greased the gears in the head of the motor and it feels so much better.

Thanks for the reply. Any tips taking it apart?

Idk if we have the same trolling motor but mine was a few phillips head screws and theres just a cover that you remove on the head of the motor and then you can see what to grease from there. I cant promise this will fix your problem but it worked for me.
