Title: cash for bass
Post by: Got Fish?? on June 06, 2014, 02:31:47 PM
Any one fish this trail? I fished NBAA and stopped, I was upset with the club. I'm interring the thought of fishing cash for bass tournaments. Any one have any feed back on this trail?

just fished my first one this past weekend for the same reasons, from what I saw it seemed to be pretty decent, really love the no membership fees part of it. Looked like a lot of the guys that used to fish NBAA are now fishing these. All the divisions seem to have pretty good sponsors. The payouts are for sure much better. I am going to keep fishing them I know that.

There mostly what's left of the NBAA. You'll know at least 1/2 of the guys in any div.

And Paul S. still has the old NBAA div. 43 going as a open were on Union lake this week
As good as CFB is for payouts (85% on inland) Paul's is closer to 90-95% with 100% on BB

50.00 entry fee.  They paid 2 spots with 12 boats then raffled off 2.  25.00 payouts to anglers that didn't finish in the money.   Things went smooth.  Next Monday is cass

Learned an interesting fact yesterday.   You are allowed to pre-fish the day of the event.  They even posted a comment on there facebook page yesterday confirming it.

That is for guys that work an Alternate work schedule during the week and have the day off on say a Monday or whatever....You don't want to lose an entire day of fishing to fish for a few hours at night in a tournament so that lets guys make the day out of it....

fished my first CFB tournament this year and have nothing but good things to say about the way they run their tournaments.  Very good group of guys with no BS.  I really liked the fact that they welcome all types of boats.  I saw everything from 21' Rangers to a 12' row boat with a tiller steer 5 HP that used a rubbermade container as a live well.  Having been someone who once fished tournaments out of 16" tin boat with a 30 Horse, I know how other tournament organizations can "look down" on you.  That is not the case with CFB.  Its just about a good time and some competitive fishing.

I fished my first cash for bass, Wensday on Kent Lake. Over 11lb won first place. Big fish was 5lb plus. Great bunch of guys and  girls. Bill did a nice  job running the event. I would fish  cash for bass again. I recognized a lot of faecs.
