Title: Lookin For A Man 6'2 215
Post by: gbaade on April 17, 2007, 03:44:44 PM
Do I win the award for worst thread title ever? LOL! :D :D :D

I just bought a PFD and a rainsuit online. Now I am worried about it fitting. Any of you fellas around that size that could let me know what size you wear? I ordered XL in the PFD and 2XL in the rain gear. Might be able to change it if I get some replies.

Thanks

GM Baade

I just purchased frog toggs elite in XL going by there specs on sizes and thats the catagory i was in. When I tried it on they seem way to big and baggy. I also am expecting my BPS pro qualifier suit any day and those are XL also. now I am worried they will be to big as well. I think i might have the same problem as you.

I am 6'2 but around 265. My rain suit is a xxl, the bibs are a xxl tall, but they were on clearance and were cheaper then the regular xxl's, I figure for the money I saved I can roll them up a bit.  My life jacket is a 3x-7x, it was also on clearance at Gander mountain and it fit comfortably over a jacket, the one I had before was a xxl and it was to constricting and I didnt like it, plus it was more like a jet ski life jacket.

Reminds of one time that I forgot my life jacket for a tournament and had to wear one that the boater had, it was only a Large, man I almost passed out on the run to his spot, I could barely breath....

I'm 6'-2" 205, I have the cabela's brand gortex rain gear and I have an XL jacket and I think the 2xl or XL tall bibs, they are perfect fitting.

PFD probably needs to be bigger.  I tried on an XL in the BASS weekend series this sunday.  I am 5 10 210 and could only fasten the top buckle.

I am 5'10" 210 also, so it sounds like I will not have a problem with the XL BPS pro qualifier suit. Now I wonder if I will even get it to find out. $1600 order and all I recieved today was a net in a big box. I checked the fedex tracking site and it says 1 package 50 pounds and it was delivered today. I call bass pro up and they cant tell me anything about what happened. There site has had issues for a month now, I could not even place the order online had to call in over 100 items (thats alot of #s), rediculous.

They quite possibly have the worst customer service and internet ordering department of any business on the planet earth.

I had great luck with BPS...My order was lost by my post office and they said they would 2 day xpress my order no questions asked.
It really surprises me that you are having problems.  I have ordered at least 5-6 orders this year and have had no issues.
Don't always believe what the FEDEX site says.  BPS sends mass shipments to local post offices then they deliver the packages to your house from there.  Give them at least 10 days from the time you ordered.  Their policy is that they will 2 day air it if you don't have it by then.  How long has it been?
I will bet you the disconnect is with your local post office.

Was just looking at bassresource.com..There are some complaints there about BPS internet service and slow shipping also.  The shipping issues seem to stem from BPS sending the packages thru FEDEX to the united states postal service.  Same complaints there..Packages are lost or slowed drastically once USPS takes control.  Sounds like bad Logistics on BPS part. I am sure they are trying to save a buck.

First time I ordered there it took 12 days to get 10 Rapala DT's. Maybe that's the usual time it takes for BPS but I ordered a reel from Cabelas the same day and it was here in 3.

Second time I ordered from them they couldn't just edit an order from there computer. The girl had to put in a note and said that she couldn't gaurantee it would work. Well it didn't work and the thing I canceled came anyways.

Third time was an even bigger mess but it would take to long to describe. With all that said I will still order from them when I need too.  ??? :P

That was misleading. I almost posted my "Looking for a 5'3" 115 lb woman needing a non-boater" thread.

Was willing to cull her fish if she would net my monster

Geez Rev.  You know some big women.  I married a petite woman and even after having our two wonderful children she has managed to maintain......Thank goodness.  I am glad I am married........but here is the message to all the single men on this forum.........Don't let Rev fix you up with any single women he knows.  Sounds like you would be better off on your own........................  :o
