Have a walleye trip on the DR on 4/20 and then the mad wags the next weekend and a smb trip the first weekend in May. Not sure things are looking good for any of these trips.
Flying over LSc this morning - Lots of ice on there to flush out.
some reports are still reporting 18-20 inches of ice. it better be a warm April
I bet we get some wind too. Wind always speeds things up in the spring.

Wind and some warm rainfalls.
BD. ;D
And sun. Sun helps a lot too.
Looks like a sunny day today. The satellite views will show whats going on with the great lakes ice.
Great pics, Thanks! I check MODIS everyday. I'm hoping for warm temps with wind and rain too!
Beautiful shot today. still a lot of ice to come down the rivers.

Think the cold winter and excess ice help the algae bloom problem in Erie?
That's a good question? I was thinking higher water helps? Can't remember what I read about that at the moment. I'm thinking I remember reading lower water level and hotter temps make the bloom worse?
I've read the same thing about the water levels and algae bloom. As for that satellite picture, that is awesome.
