Post by: outdoorkid on March 29, 2007, 09:22:08 PM
jusy wondering how many of u have nicknames related to fishing and if their is any stories behind them u would want to share

my nickname is HOOK because last year i was trying to learn how to fly fish and my friend andy, who was teaching me when he hooked my in my eyeball... it didnt hurt at first so we went back too the house to wait for my dad to get their so we took some pictures of it. i had to go to Uof M for emergency sergury. bu now the only problem is it takes a little longer for that eye to adjust to light or darkness. but the biggest thing i had a problem was the docters tried to tell me i couldnt fish for 4to6 months. well that lasted all of about 2 weeks. but i am still skiddish around flyfishermen

Mine isn't related to fishing, but have had it for over 20yrs now.  SQUID.  I got that from being in the Navy by my martial arts instructor, who was a JARHEAD.
