Title: hydrowave
Post by: bob o on February 28, 2014, 07:53:54 AM
http://www.hydrowave.com/freshwater/index.htm

any GLB folks have one or been in a boat with one? i've seen them on the market now for a few years and they seem to be doing a good business which tells me two things either they work or their catching the fishermen at a good rate. i guess i don't want to drop the $$$ for one yet, but the hydrowave mini is around $150 so you never know, my birthday is just around the corner hahahaha

I guess if it gives you confidence that you will catch more fish, go for it. I myself I turn on my stereo I catch fish just fine. I'm not saying it dosen't work. I just got to  much electronics on my dash as it is now. Let me know how it works.

My thinking on the hydrowave is that KVD and Jeff Kreit bought the business, so they must think it has promise or they wouldn't have put their own money in it, IMO.

i have heard a few people (whom i trust aren't BS'ing me) say that it does work.

I found a floating bluetooth speaker for 70 bucks. I figured i would just get the sounds off the hydrowave and use that with my phone if i really wanted to try it :)

If you do end up buying one, put it at the back of the boat...

Just my thinking

It might work on LSC or other lakes were there's bait balls
Inland lakes not so much, Why would fish turn on to some thing that they are not used to
I'll save the cash for the next big thing.
I still have a stock pile of swim baits, chatter baits, sexy shad and Alabama rigs that I need to work out

it does work, but i dont know which settings work best and when.  i was in a tourney last year and had mine on, as did another boat, we both did ok on our own.  going opposite ways down the shore we passed within 15 feet of each other twice.  both times, both boats caught a fish, and once i got 2.  i won, he took 2nd or 3rd.  then again, could be coincidence.  sometimes it doesnt help at all though.  i still try it both ways
