Well I have spent the last 35 minutes just looking around the site, it didn't take long to find out you guys are a great bunch. I fish Smallies alot on the eastern Erie, both Canadian and American sides. I live on the Canadian side, most of my summer fishing is held on our side, but Early Smallies is out of Buffalo side as well as our fall fishing. I am looking forward to reading all of your posts and hopfully contributing some of my own input.
On a bit of a side note, I had the opportunity to fish with a gentleman from Michigan in the CFT Canadian Open in "05 His name is David MacDonald from Michigan. At that time his back was not good but we still had a great day out there. I am hoping to find out about his well being. He was a great guy that day we had alot of fun and he taught me alot about the Michigan side of Lake St. Clair. If anyone knows him and how he is doing it would be really nice to find out.
Nice to be here,
Cheers all,
Sue Watson

Welcome Dutchie
Thanks for signing up - some anglers take months or even years to take the plunge. We need some good information about the East end of Erie around here. Great fishing we don't hear enough about.
I know Dave a little, actually meeting him during the Canadian Open he won on St. Clair with a huge weight a few years back. I have not talked to him or heard anything specific in a while, so I'll have to track him down and see what is going on.
Dave was my source for one of the online articles on GreatLakesBass.com: Walleye Boats for Great Lakes Bass Fishing (http://www.greatlakesbass.com/fishing/walleyeboat4bass.htm)
Thanks for the warm welcome. I hope to have some good input as soon as the boat can hit the water. Ice should be off Erie soon and our boat insurance is good to go Apr 1st. Til then we must keep it in storage. Then we can fish the American side as it is open all year now in NY catch & release only til trophy season.
Tight lines all!
And if you hear from Dave, tell him I say hi and let me know how he is please. He was a great guy. Thanks, Sue
