Anyone catch the show this morning on VS? They had a good segment by KVD on the Shaky Head Method. Lots of good tips. Looks like it will be a pretty good show.
What is VS channel?? Cable??
yes, cable
it is "versus", which used to be oln, the outdoor life network.

The Bass Pros is the best fishing show out there right now in my opinion. KVD has about a 10 min segment every week and it almost always relates to michigan waters. Actually it looks like he is usually fishing michigan lakes. Rick Clunn has a segment every week called art of angling which is very informative as well. I never miss it that show is packed with great information and tips every michigan bass angler should know. Check it out if you get a chance you wont be dissapointed.

OK got it now. I have seen it once and it is very good. I'll have to try and get the time and day down to be sure to watch it regularly.
I found a schedule for future dates on the website....

I have been recording them on my DVR (Dishes version of TIVO)...When I get a chance I am going to transfer them to a DVD...Great shows....
I hate the Fishing Shows that just show guys reeling in fish all day..Waste of my time...They have some great fisherman, but all they do is talk about their sponsors and reel in a fish every now and then.
Are they discontinuing Bass insider and all of those saturday morning shows..they weren't bad either.
Bass Edge, Lindners angling , and the inside fisherman shows are pretty good.
I would be interested in getting a copy of those DVD's once you have them all.
No problem...I will post it here when I get it done....probably in the next week or two...I think I have around 10 shows recorded now..
Moto,
I thought I was the only fishing nerd that recorded shows to DVR and then took the time to burn them to DVD. I don't know about you but I also take the time edit out the commerials. It's time consuming but worth it.
Cy
I edit them out also...
My wife got the DVR hooked up while I was in Iraq...I really missed sitcoms, motocross races, fishing and the normal TV stuff...We could get movies over there, but not the day to day stuff. She would record them and send them over to me in the DVD format..Bless her heart. Anyway when I got home I was sure we were going to just have the DVR disconnected..Needless to say I have fell in Love with it. I am actually watching less TV now..It has streamlined my TV watching...It is way easier and more efficient than taping them directly to a VHS or DVD..You can edit it and only record what you want...
My next nerd project is that I have an external harddrive I am going to take The clips off of DVD and then catalog them by type....Type of lure, Time of year...etc..It will probably be next winter before I tackle that project..
Once you get hooked on DVR there is no going back. In my house we have his and hers DVRs. I use them both to record fishing. I just never know where I am going to want to watch recorded FWL or BASS events.

Bass Pros is a great show. I also like Day on a Lake. I would, however like to see them stick a pro on one of Michigans inland lake for a day. Maybe Gun or Wixom just to see how they would do.
