Title: iPhone Navionics App ?
Post by: Dan on January 05, 2014, 11:11:29 AM
Just recently updated from the old flop phone to a iPhone 4. I have been looking at getting various apps and the Navionics app really looks great. However, I also saw a few posts about the app not running on the IOS7 format. Anybody have any input on the app?

It did not run when ios7 first came on until just recently when I took an update. The update just came from the App Store on January 2, 2014. It was unexpectedly crashing which can be very frustrating. It seems to be working good now.

I have running on iOS7 and works great. You can do most anything you can do on your lowrance with it.

Well, the first app I bought, (I have several free ones.) was the Navionics app and so far it looks like a great chart plotter app. I downloaded the northern half of Michigan, I rarely fish the souther part. I'll download St.Clair and Erie later. I can place way points, determine exact distances between two points, find nearby establishments, etc. For $9.99 looks like a real buy.

No problem down south with the app :D :D Love it and trailing etc. However the map is NOT the newest version as the Nav Chips. does not show some of the detail. It is a great app. well worth the small price.
