Mike Landy, Califoria B.A.S.S. Nation Tournament Director, has announced that the State Team Qualifying event scheduled at Pyramid Lake on October 12, 2013 has been cancelled because previously approved and paid for permits have been revoked due to the Federal shutdown.
At this time no further information is available but the event may be rescheduled pending a decision by the California B.A.S.S. Nation board of directors.

Entry fees already submitted for the tournament will be refunded.

This is the most assinine thing I've seen in a while.  Approved AND paid for yet they won't honor them?  Our federal government is the most inefficient entity on the planet.  Disgusting.
