Other than the BFL's is there a Michigan tx trail that consistantly averages more than 40 or 50 boats?
B
I think Top Bass comes close, fished 2 of theirs last year and I think it was 43 at one and darn near 40 at the other.
Top Bass had 65 boats at the one I fished at Wixom
do they have a website? I'm googling and not finding anything.
B
BBT averages around 70 to 75 boats, bit it is on the West Side. I'm mot sure how big Shoreline is.

Brian,
I sent you a PDF file of the Top Bass Schedule for 2007. I couldn't post it on the site
Durand Dan, will you please send that to me too?
I've seen the payouts for these 40 boat tournaments and quite frankly our Tear Drop Tournament Trail, in most cases, pays just as well with 20-25 boats. (Better odds for you.) We have a 100% payback in our six tournaments and the top ten at the end of the season fish for $5,000. We also have a wildcard draw for those who fish all six tourneys and don't make the top ten. For instance with 25 boats first through fifth place iis $625,$312,$157,$63,$63, with (included in your entry fee $10 big bass pot) a $250 big bass award. Second place big bass gets a pair of rods. We usually have several gift certicates from lake hosts as well. Big Bass and first place which often times happens, with gift certificates, is usually around a grand. That's based on 25 boats. Classic has been $5000 for as long as I can remember. We raise our Classic money by selling ads. We sell regular ads for $100 and "Host Ads" for $200. Our Host Ads have really been popular because we set up a Host Tournament for all the people who buy Host Ads. The host fishes with one of our Tear Drop anglers and we put $200 in the pot so one of the hosts will win their ad money back. After the tournament, we take everyone out for Brunch. We have had people give us $200 just to fish the tournament. Our Tear Drop guys throw in some dollars and they have their own side pot. It is very popular. Anyone out there want an ad our flyer is in the home stretch and will go to print soon. The Tear Drop fishes the Great Northwest Corner and any interested should go to our teardropbass.com website. The last few years our attendance has been down to a 20 boat average. But, we have had years with 30.
Thanks Durand, I got the email. Did you get my reply? We've been having Exchange problems last two days. It's a crap shoot whether mail gets off base or not.
Cfruel, is there a link to BBT or a schedule online somewhere?
B
Durand,
That Top Bass looks really promising, until I started looking at the calander. 2 of the tournaments collide with BFL's and the Championship is same day as a BFL. That's a bummer. Wouldnt they get even more boats if they scheduled away from BFL's?
Looks like a good Trail but...
B
I've fished the top bass opening day on Saginaw Bay for the last two years. At least 50 boats each year.

Cfruel,
BBT is a team tourney trail. I know you could fish it single but I guess I didnt clarify in my question, I'm looking for a single tx trail.

I would strongly reccomend fishing top bass. They are a really well run trail w/ very nice people running it. they pay back 90% at the ramp w/ no membership fee. You pay 60$ you win you make a grand. or if you enter big bass 5$ plus option pot( i think 10 bucks) you might just strut away w/ over 1400+$. Good competion and an overall great time. I usually fish about 6 out of 8 of the tourneys they hold......... good times!!
