Jigging for salmon in the west side drowned river mouths. The salmon are coming in and staging for the runs up the rivers. Vertical jigging. Seeing the first fish of the season which usually lasts about 3 weeks. The biggest would push 25lbs. Caught them on 14 lbs. Vicious Pro Elite Fluorocarbon. These fish come fresh out or 30 feet of water and it's a battle royale !!
That looks like fun!
What type of jig are you using?
Cabelas Real Image 2 oz.
I wanna go!! What are you doing this coming Monday morning Dan????
Cool....
I am working Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday then heading to Roseville for the BASS Elite Series meeting Wednesday night. Plan on being over there until Sunday. Then I work Mon through Wed. Have Thursday off and my son is then coming with his wife and new baby for the Labor Day weekend. I may miss the rest of the jigging season.
You're the busiest retired guy I know Dan. Well, you and Ed Dyer.

Dan did you get the email that the meeting is in Dearborn?....
Yes I did. Thanks though for the heads up. Plan on leaving tomorrow from the West Side and will drive to Metro to investigate the scene and see who is hanging around that ramp. At around noonish we'll eat then head to Roseville to check in and then off to the Carhart Center to register around 3:00 pm. Hopefully, I've got everything packed.
