Fishing was slow today on Chippewa. Water temps around 74 with over cast skies. Water visibility was around 4 feet with winds out of the West with some gusts. Lilly pads seem to have produced the most in the morning. With the cloudy skies, that was pushed out to about 10 a.m. After 10, fish were found in the 10' range on drops with vegetation. Every fish I caught, they hit the bait on the fall. I tried using greens and browns initially with no luck. I then tied on a purple Widow Maker from Drop Shot Denny and that produced a few fish. I would stick with darker colors if you plan on fishing Chippewa soon.
Lots of pressure there today. Roughly 15-20 bass boats there today. Multiple people fishing the same areas.
