The shallower inland lakes like my lake are up in temps  and the bass are starting to spawn. Gt Bay is cold still. Prolly won't hit temps for another week or so .

Fished from 8 to 3 and smoked'em. Launched on the pennisula and went to elk rapids first and them worked south.

FYI.... U can't launch at elk rapids due to the dredging.

Where is the pennisula launch at? Or a good one to launch at

Yea, it was rough but the spots we fished were protected. Had to throw the drift sock out on one of the spots.

Take the road out to the pennisula and the boat ramp is probably 4 miles on your right. Can't miss it.

FYI... When and if they dredge tomorrow at elk rapids it really muddies the water. Get there early and catch your fish before they start dredging.

Plus, the Bay dropped to 43 and was fishing very slow over the weekend I've been told. This week may start helping get that fired back up a little.

Never made it to the bay. Crappy weather. Did catch alot on my lake. Also got my first walleye on the lake. Their not native to the lake. Someone has been releasing them from other lakes. Nice little 22" fish. Threw it back to get bigger.

Friend of mine caught a few fish, one a five pounder, on the beds on GT today. Not many on beds but a few.

I fished east bay this past Saturday ...water was 62-64 ...lots of empty beds, some with suckers gobbling up eggs..more boats than I ever seen on bay...I caught 24 smallies for the day ..nothing over 4#. There was a small tourney going on and a gentleman told me 21# won it....I'm sure its not done yet up there. Mid week would be best.

I'll be back up there in a couple weeks. Hope I can have some luck then. This year has been odd. Or maybe I got spoiled from the early start last year. And the super warm water early

This is what I saw as well.  Lots of empty beds.  Maybe 8 bassboats out there this morning.  Fishing was very good till I started getting pushed around by the wind in my tin boat.
